Bachelor's degree, Studio Arts from Concordia University (2001). Ilania paints collage-like, frequently narrative paintings, sets of miniatures, and makes mono-prints drawn from her heritage and her experience as a women artist. Ilania has lived in Quebec since 1968, and has been painting on a regular basis since 1989 and full-time since 1995. Lives and paints in Morin Heights since 1993.

In 1996 she exhibited her work at Gallery "910" in Morin Heights, and organized a program, offering "Guest Artist" classes with the aim to promote the art of painting in Morin Heights.


Participated in solo and group exhibitions in Montreal, the Laurentians, as well as the annual Route des Arts (Greater Argenteuil Region Laurentians) Open Studio Art Tour since 2000.  Member of Route des Arts since 2000 (Board of Directors and vice president 2001-2011.Member of "Arts Morin Heights" since 1996 (past President).


In 2002, Ilania started contributing articles about the local art scene to local English newspapers (Main Street 2002-2005, Laurentian Sun 2006-2008, Le Régional 2005), and other publications. 2009 to present Cultural Reporter for Main Street, Laurentians monthly English Newspaper.

Baccalauréat en arts visuels de l'université Concordia 2001. Ilania peint des similis-collages, des tableaux souvent narratifs, des ensembles des miniatures et des monotypes. Ses sujets naissent de son héritage et de sa vie comme femme artiste. Vit au Québec depuis 1968. C'est en 1989 qu'elle commence à peindre de façon régulière puis à temps plein depuis 1995. Elle habite à Morin Heights depuis 1993.

En juin 1996 elle a exposé ses oeuvres (solo) à la galerie "910 " à Morin Heights et a organisé un programme de promotion de l'art pictural à Morin Heights. Depuis 1996, Ilania Abileah est membre du groupe des artistes " Arts Morin Heights " (président 2003) et a participé à des expositions individuelles et collectives aux Laurentides, ainsi que La Route des arts depuis 2000.  Elle est membre du Conseil d'administration (vice-présidente) de la Route des arts du Grand Argenteuil.
